Indonesia delivers 172,000 digital panels to boost classroom reform

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Muti stated that more than 172,000 interactive flat panel (IFP) units have been delivered to schools and learning centers nationwide to promote digitalization in educational activities.

"As of November 16, 2025, at 10 p.m., some 172,550 IFP units have been delivered and utilized at schools and learning centers," Mu'ti stated during the launch of the “Digitalization for a Smart Indonesia” program at a junior high school in Bekasi, West Java,

The delivered units represent 75 percent of the targeted delivery of 288,865 units for the 2025 budget year, he said.

Meanwhile, about 43,022 IFP units are currently being delivered to schools and learning centers, with the delivery process expected to be completed by December 17.

Mu'ti stated that the classroom digitalization program is an actualization of President Prabowo Subianto's pledge on last year’s National Teachers Day, as well as an implementation of presidential regulations.

Presidential Instruction No. 7 of 2025 on the advancement of school revitalization and classroom digitalization and Presidential Regulation No. 79 of 2025 on updates to government work plans in 2025 serve as the legal basis for the digitalization program.

The minister said that classroom digitalization will not be achieved solely by providing IFP units but also through the provision of laptops, study materials via the “Rumah Pendidikan” (House of Education) digital platform, and digitalization training for teachers.

“We also express our gratitude to the President for his remarkable commitment and support for the program,” Mu’ti said, while also extending his appreciation to other cabinet ministers involved in the process.

Mu’ti added that the ministry has conducted assessments of schools using the IFP units and has observed positive changes in learning activities.

“Students are now studying more joyfully and with greater enthusiasm, and learning outcomes continue to improve,” he said.

"This all proves the success of the education revolution initiated by the President through classroom digitalization and the provision of IFP units," the minister added.
